Weekday Clubbing

What turned out to be a harmless drinking outing at RP became a full-fledged dance party until 3 am (4 am including the mamak afterwards). Hence I'm sitting at my comp here at 5.30 in the morning after a cold shower penning this blog.

How it started? It was harmless enough. Meet at RP around 8.30 pm and catch the live band singing until around 10 pm.

Well the band only started at 10, and they were playing songs from my dad's era. Some of my colleagues however revel in it and started swaying their butts to the tunes of Simply Red and Culture Club.

"So 11 pm leave nowlah?" I asked one of my colleagues who actually wanted to leave earlier. A smile was the reply I got.

Personally I have no intention of leaving but wanted to move to a more contemporary place such as Finnegan's in Bangsar. But what the heck ... I stayed on and chit chat with the bartender identifying the regulars, and the not-so regulars.

Around midnight and after a shot of JD, a glass of beer, and a lychee martini, 2 of my guy colleagues wanted to go, while the rest (4 other female colleagues) wanted to move down (we were watching the band from the 1st floor). So we did, and they (the girls) started dancing while the guys, instead of leaving, lounged at the sofas at the spot we settled in on the ground floor.

As any happening night clubs go, there were games and I pushed one of my colleagues to take part in it knowing that she'll get free drinks no matter what crazy things she did. She won us 4 Kampai bottles by the way which was great to go along with the Tequila Pop and Whisky Coke I had with her later. A while later the guys left, followed by 2 of my female colleagues leaving only me with the other two. I was fetching one of them, and they were having fun, and I was chilling so I just chilled while they swish on the floor. At least the songs they were playing now were more up to date.

After a while though, the music switched to trance, so we left to Subang Tanjong mamak.

Now its 6 am, and I think I'm gonna get a half hour nap before I leave for work.
