What kind of problem do you wish to have?

Lately I've been repeating this phrase to my colleagues and friends - "What kind of problem do you wish to have?". Everyday all of us are making decisions, from the mundane to those that may affect our future. Even indecision is a choice as we choose not to do anything.

So on and off I have people asking me on what should they do when faced with a choice decision. I would tell them "What kind of problem do you wish to have?". Every choice will lead to some problems. Do you want to have a rich man's problem or a poor man's problem? (I picked that up from one of the Kiyosake's books I think). Do you want to have a girlfriend problem or no girlfriends problem? Do you want to have kids problem or no kids problem?

I use the word problem as I think that by using this word, it makes us value the choices we make even more. I could have easily said what opportunity you wish to have or what challenges (to make it sound not so bad), but ultimately I feel that problems is the best word to use.

Here are some problems that I'd like to have :

1. Too much money problem (notice I did not say rich)
2. Having kids problem
3. Too many places to go problem
4. Too much time problem
5. Being ask to share my experience problem

I guess other than points 1 & 2, I have the other problems to worry about ...

too much time problem is no fun. but then again, too little time problem is worst. would be nice to be just nicely occupied??!! if ever there is such a perfect balance...
