During any working trip to other countries or locally where I get to stay in a hotel, I normally look forward to one thing, crispy bacon & scrambled eggs (ok, that's 2 things!).
Was in Bangkok for a week and for the 4 mornings I was there, I had crispy bacon & scrambled eggs for dinner. The hotel I stayed in was the Grand Hyatt Erawan, which was just across from Central World Plaza and a few minutes walk to either Siam Paragon or Central Chidlom (the hotel was in the middle). The bacon and eggs at this hotel was nothing short of superb. The crispiness of the bacon was just right, and I munched down about 8 sticks of those each morning. The scrambled eggs was just right too, and with a hint of salt & pepper, it went along well with the bacon and my usual cup of hot tea.
The hotel itself was quite ok. It was a huge deluxe room probably similar to the size of the platinum suite I stayed in Grand Sukhumvit earlier this year, though that hotel had 2 Samsung 32 inch LCD TVs while the one I stayed had just an ordinary 25 inch TV. It costs more as well by at least RM 100 (after exchange rates). I think it's expensive cause it really is in such a superb shopping location, while I heard the other hotel was just refurbished and my company got excellent rates from them. Nevertheless the bacon and eggs at this place was the best I ever tasted so far.
